Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work A hunting still life with a hare, a gun, a horn and a pair of yellowhammers on a stone ladge; and A hunting still life with a pigeon, a kingfisher, a yellowhammer and a bluethroat on a stone ledge by Cornelis Lelienbergh for GBP 12,925.00 (€ 20,912.31). This price was achieved in the auction The Dr Anton C.R.Dreesmann Collection Old Master Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,0 Admittedly, works by Cornelis Lelienbergh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Bittern (Roerdomp) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,311.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
