In the The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 auction, the work Downtown, New York sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,915.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Consuelo Kanaga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Profile of a Young Girl from the Tennessee Series in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 106,250.00 (€ 94,857.60).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Consuelo Kanaga erzielte im April 2017 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 wurde die Arbeit Downtown, New York für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.915,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Consuelo Kanaga auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Profile of a Young Girl from the Tennessee Series im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 94.857,60).
