Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The duet by Conrad Kiesel was sold in the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 34,600.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Conrad Kiesel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mandolin Player in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 106,050.00 (€ 150,205.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The duet von Conrad Kiesel wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 34.600,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Conrad Kiesel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Mandolin Player im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.050,00 (€ 150.205,93).
