This artwork by Conrad Kiesel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2005. In the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction, the work A portrait of Lola Montez sold for EUR 15,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Conrad Kiesel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mandolin Player in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 106,050.00 (€ 150,205.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Conrad Kiesel erzielte im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART wurde die Arbeit A portrait of Lola Montez für EUR 15.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Conrad Kiesel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Mandolin Player im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.050,00 (€ 150.205,93).
