Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Conrad Kiesel could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Le Billet Doux changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,258.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Conrad Kiesel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mandolin Player in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 106,050.00 (€ 150,205.93).
