This artwork by Conrad Kiesel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2008. In the 19th Century EuropeanArt auction, the work In Contemplation sold for EUR 9,850.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Conrad Kiesel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mandolin Player in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 106,050.00 (€ 150,205.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Conrad Kiesel erzielte im April 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century EuropeanArt wurde die Arbeit In Contemplation für EUR 9.850,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Conrad Kiesel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Mandolin Player im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.050,00 (€ 150.205,93).
