Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A spaniel putting a mallard up by Colin Graeme Roe. The price achieved of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,714.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Graeme Roe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shin-a-beg a bay horse in a phaeton, with a terrier and a pug in a stable yard, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 7,637.50 (€ 11,813.48).

Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A spaniel putting a mallard up von Colin Graeme Roe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.714,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Colin Graeme Roe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shin-a-beg a bay horse in a phaeton, with a terrier and a pug in a stable yard beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 7.637,50 (€ 11.813,48) versteigert wurde.
