In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Ph-399 by Clyfford Still. The »bidding war« ended at USD 24,296,900.00 (€ 22,050,004.54), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clyfford Still - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 1949-A-No . 1, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 61,682,500.00 (€ 45,850,367.95).

Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ph-399 von Clyfford Still zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 24.296.900,00 (€ 22.050.004,54) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Clyfford Still mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 1949-A-No . 1 beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 61.682.500,00 (€ 45.850.367,95) versteigert wurde.
