Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Grand Coulee Dam, Washington) by Clyfford Still was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2016. The price achieved of USD 250,000.00 (€ 236,339.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clyfford Still achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 1949-A-No . 1 in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 61,682,500.00 (€ 45,850,367.95).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Grand Coulee Dam, Washington) von Clyfford Still wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 236.339,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden.
