Auction result well in line with expectations
The work PH-66 by Clyfford Still was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 9,125,000.00 (€ 8,194,881.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000,000.00 – 12,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clyfford Still have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1949-A-No . 1 in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 61,682,500.00 (€ 45,850,367.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit PH-66 von Clyfford Still kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.125.000,00 (€ 8.194.881,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000.000,00 – 12.000.000,00 angegeben worden.
