Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ph-306 by Clyfford Still was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 64,141,500.00 (€ 7,027,563.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 54,000,000.00 – 84,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clyfford Still have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1949-A-No . 1 in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 61,682,500.00 (€ 45,850,367.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ph-306 von Clyfford Still kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 64.141.500,00 (€ 7.027.563,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 54.000.000,00 – 84.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clyfford Still auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1949-A-No . 1 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.682.500,00 (€ 45.850.367,95).
