Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Evening Sale, which included the work Ph-148 (1960-F) by Clyfford Still. The price achieved of USD 10,133,000.00 (€ 9,593,826.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000,000.00 – 12,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clyfford Still have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1949-A-No . 1 in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 61,682,500.00 (€ 45,850,367.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ph-148 (1960-F) von Clyfford Still zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.133.000,00 (€ 9.593.826,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000.000,00 – 12.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clyfford Still auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1949-A-No . 1 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.682.500,00 (€ 45.850.367,95).
