This artwork by Claudia Comte achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in July 2020. In the 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work White Russian sold for USD 45,000.00 (€ 38,219.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Claudia Comte; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Suspended Marble Raspberry (study) sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of GBP 44,500.00 (€ 51,616.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Claudia Comte erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit White Russian für USD 45.000,00 (€ 38.219,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Claudia Comte; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Suspended Marble Raspberry (study) im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 44.500,00 (€ 51.616,81).
