Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Near Winchester, Hampshire by Claude Hayes was sold in the British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings auction at Christies in London in October 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 664.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Claude Hayes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch fishing boats in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,680.00 (€ 6,120.01).

Die Arbeit Near Winchester, Hampshire von Claude Hayes wurde im Oktober 2001 in der Auktion British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert.
