In the 20/21 Photographs/ Leaves of Light and Shadow: Photographs Gathered by William T. Hillman auction, the work Untitled, 1940s changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,327.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clarence John Laughlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
