Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Clarence John Laughlin could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work The Head of Havoc, 1945 changed hands for USD 239.00 (€ 198.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence John Laughlin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Clarence John Laughlin konnte im Juli 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit The Head of Havoc, 1945 für USD 239,00 (€ 198,64) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarence John Laughlin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73).
