Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Clarence John Laughlin could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work The Head of Havoc, 1945 changed hands for USD 239.00 (€ 198.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence John Laughlin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
