It achieved a price of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Clarence H. White; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Telegraph Poles sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 103,000.00 (€ 66,161.36).

Die Arbeit Reclining Nude, 1919 von Clarence H. White kam im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Clarence H. White; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Telegraph Poles im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 103.000,00 (€ 66.161,36).
