Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Woman with Vase of Flowers and Portrait of a Woman, 1906 by Clarence H. White for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,115.97). This price was achieved in the auction The Face of the Century: Photographs from a Private Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence H. White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Telegraph Poles in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 103,000.00 (€ 66,161.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Woman with Vase of Flowers and Portrait of a Woman, 1906 von Clarence H. White für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.115,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Face of the Century: Photographs from a Private Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarence H. White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Telegraph Poles im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 103.000,00 (€ 66.161,36).
