Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Mangler by Clare Woods was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in December 2017. The price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,351.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clare Woods achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Vomit in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,610.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Mangler von Clare Woods kam im Dezember 2017 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.351,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clare Woods erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Vomit im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.610,16).
