Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Clare Woods could be acquired at Bonhams in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work The Manster changed hands for GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,802.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clare Woods - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Black Vomit, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,610.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Clare Woods konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit The Manster für GBP 5.100,00 (€ 5.802,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Clare Woods mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Black Vomit beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.610,16) versteigert wurde.
