This work of art by Christopher Wilmarth could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Portrait of a Memory (with a Blue Edge) changed hands for USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,355.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00.
