Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christian Ward could be acquired at Phillips in London in October 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Black Hut changed hands for GBP 688.00 (€ 796.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christian Ward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desert Hole in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,900.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christian Ward konnte im Oktober 2011 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Black Hut für GBP 688,00 (€ 796,23) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Ward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desert Hole im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.900,22).
