Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2008 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Art 1953-2003, A Private Collection, which included the work Untitled (Black Square) by Christian Ward. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,750.00 19% above the upper estimate. Other works by Christian Ward have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,900.22) in September 2011 for the work Desert Hole.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Art 1953-2003, A Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Black Square) von Christian Ward zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.750,00 und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Christian Ward haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.900,22) im September 2011 für die Arbeit Desert Hole beobachtet.
