Admittedly, works by Christian Schumann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Faces) in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 51,357.26).

Die Arbeit Death of a Friend of a Friend von Christian Schumann kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.639,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Schumann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Faces) im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.650,00 (€ 51.357,26).
