Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christian Schumann could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Hoarder: Part III auction, the work What in God's Name Are You Doing to That Monkey? changed hands for GBP 630.00 (€ 751.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Schumann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Faces) in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 51,357.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christian Schumann konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Hoarder: Part III wechselte die Arbeit What in God's Name Are You Doing to That Monkey? für GBP 630,00 (€ 751,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Schumann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Faces) im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.650,00 (€ 51.357,26).
