Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Ablution by Christian Schumann for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,241.46). This price was achieved in the auction NOW: Art of the 21st Century Theme Sale at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Christian Schumann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Faces) in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 51,357.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ablution von Christian Schumann für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.241,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion NOW: Art of the 21st Century Theme Sale bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Schumann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Faces) im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.650,00 (€ 51.357,26).
