Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Napoli (Naples) by Christian Schad for GBP 118,750.00 (€ 138,526.01). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Christian Schad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frau aus Pozzuoli in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 636,000.00 (€ 942,847.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Napoli (Naples) von Christian Schad für GBP 118.750,00 (€ 138.526,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Schad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frau aus Pozzuoli im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 636.000,00 (€ 942.847,17).
