A top price for Christian Schad - as previously expected
The work Frau aus Pozzuoli by Christian Schad was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2007. The price achieved of GBP 636,000.00 (€ 942,847.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Frau aus Pozzuoli is the most expensive artwork by Christian Schad that we have observed at auctions so far.
