In September 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A stilllife with Chinese porcelain by Chris van der Windt. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,365.00 67% above the upper estimate. This high result makes A stilllife with Chinese porcelain the most expensive artwork by Chris van der Windt that we have observed at auctions so far.
