Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A cottage by a stream by Chris van der Windt. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,440.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Chris van der Windt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A stilllife with Chinese porcelain in September 2002 with an auction result of EUR 8,365.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cottage by a stream von Chris van der Windt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.440,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chris van der Windt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A stilllife with Chinese porcelain im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.365,00.
