Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tempest, From Paradise By Night by Chris Ofili was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,152.00 (€ 1,340.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Ofili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Virgin Mary in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,882,500.00 (€ 4,064,288.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tempest, From Paradise By Night von Chris Ofili wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.152,00 (€ 1.340,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris Ofili erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Holy Virgin Mary im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.882.500,00 (€ 4.064.288,82).
