The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,273.92), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Burden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Warship in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 502,000.00 (€ 450,830.71).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.273,92) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris Burden erzielen.
