Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work A Contented Skull by Chiho Aoshima for HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,191.27). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Art Online: Come Fly with Me at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chiho Aoshima achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work City Glow in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 48,508.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Contented Skull von Chiho Aoshima für HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.191,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art Online: Come Fly with Me bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chiho Aoshima erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit City Glow im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 48.508,37).
