Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Spring Blossom by Chen Qikuan. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 14,534.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qikuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mood in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 161,808.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring Blossom von Chen Qikuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 14.534,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qikuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mood im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 161.808,98).
