In September this year Bonhams held the auction Chinese Paintings-The Online sale, which included the work Calligraphy in Seal Script by Chen Qikuan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 8,320.00 (€ 1,003.84), 66% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qikuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mood in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 161,808.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 66 % übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Chinese Paintings-The Online sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script von Chen Qikuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 8.320,00 (€ 1.003,84) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qikuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mood im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 161.808,98).
