Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Courtyard by Chen Qikuan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 11,219.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 75,000.00 – 95,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qikuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mood in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 161,808.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Courtyard von Chen Qikuan kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 11.219,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 75.000,00 – 95.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qikuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mood im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 161.808,98).
