Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Qikuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in September this year. In the Chinese Paintings-The Online sale auction, the work Landscape with Sun and Moon sold for HKD 243,200.00 (€ 29,343.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Qikuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mood in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 161,808.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Qikuan erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings-The Online sale wurde die Arbeit Landscape with Sun and Moon für HKD 243.200,00 (€ 29.343,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Qikuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mood im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 161.808,98).
