The work A Snowy Nocturne by Chen Qikuan was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 113,400.00 (€ 13,710.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qikuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mood in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 161,808.98).

Die Arbeit A Snowy Nocturne von Chen Qikuan wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 113.400,00 (€ 13.710,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qikuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mood im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 161.808,98).
