The work Pass by Chen Qikuan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,426.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Chen Qikuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mood in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 161,808.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pass von Chen Qikuan kam im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 26.426,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Qikuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mood im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 161.808,98).
