Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Acrobatic Monkeys by Chen Qikuan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,204.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qikuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mood in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 161,808.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Acrobatic Monkeys von Chen Qikuan kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.204,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qikuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mood im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 161.808,98).
