Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Arcadia / Coexistence by Chen Qikuan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,910.10), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Qikuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mood in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 161,808.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arcadia / Coexistence von Chen Qikuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.910,10) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Qikuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mood im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 161.808,98).
