In November last year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle, which included the work True Identity by Chen Fei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 403,200.00 (€ 50,033.83), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Fei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Left Fist Has No Strength in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 7,210,000.00 (€ 762,152.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle durch, in der auch die Arbeit True Identity von Chen Fei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 50.033,83) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Fei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Left Fist Has No Strength im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.210.000,00 (€ 762.152,70).
