Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Night Owl by Chen Fei was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November 2021. The price achieved of HKD 89,250.00 (€ 9,923.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Fei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Left Fist Has No Strength in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 7,210,000.00 (€ 762,152.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Night Owl von Chen Fei wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 89.250,00 (€ 9.923,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Fei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Left Fist Has No Strength im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.210.000,00 (€ 762.152,70).
