This artwork by Charles Warren Eaton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2005. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Rolling hills with a storm approaching sold for USD 16,800.00 (€ 13,932.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Warren Eaton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A winter landscape sold at auction in February 2005 with the realized price of USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,504.60).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Warren Eaton erzielte im September 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wurde die Arbeit Rolling hills with a storm approaching für USD 16.800,00 (€ 13.932,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Warren Eaton; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A winter landscape im Februar 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.504,60).
