Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An airborne predator by Charles Robinson was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book auction at Christies in London in December 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,135.25 (€ 1,606.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Robinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Illustrations for Aesop's Fables: The fox and the bunch of grapes; and The fox with the cropped tail (both illustrated) in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,019.00 (€ 7,103.27).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.135,25 (€ 1.606,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00.
