In September 2010 Christies in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Le Petit Ponte (Deltiel 24) by Charles Meryon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,746.94), 32% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Meryon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Morgue (D., W. 36; S. 42), which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,533.66).
