Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work La Morgue (Delteil & Wright 36) by Charles Meryon. The price achieved of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,469.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Charles Meryon have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2006 the work La Morgue (D., W. 36; S. 42) was auctioned for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,533.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Morgue (Delteil & Wright 36) von Charles Meryon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.469,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Charles Meryon konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2006 die Arbeit La Morgue (D., W. 36; S. 42) für GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.533,66) versteigert.
