Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Sailor) by Charles LeDray. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,510.00 (€ 13,036.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles LeDray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Promised Land in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 135,657.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Sailor) von Charles LeDray zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.510,00 (€ 13.036,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles LeDray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Promised Land im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 135.657,47).
