Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles Halkerston achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2011. In the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Studying the old authors; and The antiquarian sold for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,334.80) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Halkerston; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View from the studio window at Buccleuch Place sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,210.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Halkerston erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit Studying the old authors; and The antiquarian für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.334,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Halkerston; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit View from the studio window at Buccleuch Place im November 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.210,34).
