Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a gentleman, bust-length; and Two studies of young boys; and Two studies of girls by Charles Halkerston for GBP 250.00 (€ 291.85). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Halkerston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View from the studio window at Buccleuch Place in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,210.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, bust-length; and Two studies of young boys; and Two studies of girls von Charles Halkerston für GBP 250,00 (€ 291,85) erwerben.
